Hello there, nice to meet you! I'm Margarida and I was born and raised in Lisbon 🌟
I started teaching on italki one year ago and it has been one of the most wholesome experiences of my life. Getting to know people from all over the world and seeing them improve and challenge themselves has been so rewarding, and motivated me to pursue my own language-learning journey in German and Japanese.
Aside from teaching, I'm an Operations Manager at a tech start-up and I've worked as a Product Designer and Web Developer.
In my free time, I enjoy traveling, reading, hiking and rock climbing, and am passionate about digital technologies and remote work!Moi en tant que professeur
During my first year at university, I worked part-time as an assistant teacher at a middle school. For the following years, I volunteered at a social project where I tutored kids and teenagers. In 2021, I received my Level 5 Teaching English as a Foreign Language diploma.
I want to help prepare you for your adventures abroad and give honest feedback on how you can improve your pronunciation, vocabulary, and overall communication skills all while making sure you have fun, feel comfortable and see progress!Mes leçons et ma méthode d'enseignement
Due to working full-time, my lessons are mostly conversational as I unfortunately cannot prepare entire curriculums at the moment. We can also work on reading/writing, pronunciation, or preparing for a specific situation that you have coming up.
Ideally, you'd have at least some Portuguese knowledge to book a session with me (A2, enough to maintain a small conversation) but I've taught students from scratch using immersive methods. If that's something you're interested in, we can explore it together, but please message me before scheduling a lesson so we can discuss :)5.0

I've to say it was a good cours. I really liked when you told me that you're living an experience in Tokio it was only a shame that we should quit the class because I wanted to know a bit more about your experience. But hope see you again.

Margarida was a very forgiving and encouraging conversation partner. She is a great listener and helped with vocabulary when needed, and she meets the student where they are at. She is a great tutor and I highly recommend her to anyone!

She is very cheerful and full of joy. I am happy to have taken a lesson from her. She organized the class totally according to my needs without any problem and answered all my questions attentively.
