My name is Natalia, I am 42 years old, bilingual in Italian and Brazilian Portuguese, and a certified CILS examiner. I hold two Bachelor's degrees (in Journalism and Philosophy), a postgraduate degree in History, Society and Culture, and a Master's degree in Italian Language and Literature. I worked for nearly 20 years in the cultural and editorial fields, and since 2020, I have been teaching Italian and Brazilian Portuguese to foreigners, as well as working with translations.Moi en tant que professeur

Learning a language doesn’t have to be a form of martyrdom. Instead, it can be a way to expand one’s cultural understanding of the world. My teaching method combines a passion for the culture and stories of its people with structured language instruction. The goal is to develop strong oral and written skills while also offering cultural insights into both Italy and Brazil. Classes are held online via Zoom.Mes ressources d'enseignement

Natalia is an excellent teacher. I don't have any specific plan and I've only acquainted myself with Italian through a 10-minute exercise a day app, so my skills are very basic. I can barely make a sentence I intend, despite having some beginner vocabulary. Natalia has a wonderful and warm personality: with patience and curiosity she allows for my growing pains to be less prevalent. The learning process becomes fun, challenging but interesting. And I always learn something besides Italian language: we have bought up topics of gender equality in a language formation, job interest among youth, origins of different kinds of pasta, etc. All of this with my very modest skills. I'm very excited I get to spend time with such and excellent teacher and human!

Natalia and I had a great conversation about the short stories we've been reading. I love the author and my sessions with Natalia. I have the opportunity to express my opinions and therefore use (or try to use) new vocabulary and more advanced grammar.

Natalia è un'insegnante molto paziente e gentile. Ho studiato italiano a scuola e volevo migliorare la conversazione. Natalia è stata molto disponibile e si è adattata le lezioni al mio livello. Ho imparato tante nuove parole e frasi che posso usare per parlare in modo più naturale. Parlare e ascoltare erano sempre difficili per me, perché a scuola non avevo molte occasioni per praticare. Ma nelle sue lezioni, Natalia parla sempre con me in italiano. Così imparo sempre parole nuove e sento tanto italiano. Adesso capisco molto più di prima. Mi piace la struttura delle lezioni e gli argomenti di cui parliamo. Abbiamo parlato delle cose base, come la famiglia, il lavoro e gli amici, ma anche di argomenti divertenti come la moda, le feste, i libri e la stampa.
Non vedo l’ora di continuare a studiare con Natalia!
