Hello future students! My name is Sophia, I am a 24 year old American girl who has been living abroad since 2018. My passion is discovering new cultures and meeting people. I love learning about people who have had different experiences from mine. I went to the University of Miami where I received degrees in Political Science and Exercise Physiology. Upon graduating in 2018 I moved to Thailand to teach english for a year. I then decided I wanted to be on the student side of language learning. I made the decision to learn Spanish, and moved to Spain where I currently live. In my free time I enjoy spending time outside in nature or hanging out with friends. I look forward to meeting you :)

I have in-person experience teaching social studies, science, health, Cambridge exam, and conversational english to english language learners. I am a very patient person, and make it a point to always encourage my students and congratulate them on small victories. As a language learner myself, I understand the importance of being able to make mistakes without feeling bad about it. You are learning, and making mistakes is what helps you to learn. I want you to make mistakes, and I will be your supporter as you do so. One day you will be able to speak like a native speaker if you don't give up! My students always gain the confidence to speak english with any native speaker.

Mes leçons et ma méthode d'enseignement

I try to adapt my teaching style to the learning style of each student. In general, I avoid worksheets as I don't think they help you to learn as much as a real life situation. You can tell me the specific areas that you would like to improve, and I will create lessons related to your interests. In addition, I have experience in teaching english pronunciation, so I can help you with things such as tongue position, intonation etc. As I learn about you and your interests I will recommend things in english that you can use outside of class. Podcasts, movies, etc that I think you will enjoy. You will also be able to send me messages outside of class with questions, or audios of you speaking etc

I loveeeee having conversations with Sophia, she is always energetic, encouraging and correcting my grammar and pronunciation errors.
