Hi! I'm Valerie, a British TEFL-certified, Degree, Masters, and PhD educated tutor from England with over 20 years teaching experience. I specialise in IELTS speaking and writing, conversation practice, and kids learning, helping students all over the world reach their goals. I am a friendly, approachable, and empathic IELTS, kids teacher and conversationalist. I am an excellent listener, speaker, reader, and writer. I assess my students' needs on an individual basis.

I have a nurturing/facilitator/psychological approach to IELTS teaching. I create a free and relaxed atmosphere that encourages my students to solve problems. As a teacher it is important: to be myself, openly express my thoughts and feelings; to show students full confidence in themselves and in their capabilities and abilities; to show empathy, that is, an understanding of the feelings and experiences of each of my students. This technique is used on a one-to-one basis because, I, as a teacher-facilitator need to interact with my students individually.
