Lucas

I have been studying with Lucas A. for a few months now, and we're able to hold conversations in Latin like two friends catching up on life. In our first session, I could barely mutter out what my name was or where I was from, even though I had read Familia Romana and Wheelock's. Now, although I still stutter here and there, my Latin has immensely improved, and I can confidently say that I can speak it. Lucas is patient, caring, and deeply knowledgeable. He has resources, and he knows how to tailor the lesson to your needs. I look forward to the next few months of pushing my fluency to the next level.

I have been taking Latin with Lucas for about a year, and just recently started learning Ancient Greek. In both subjects he has been a fantastic teacher, and having taken lessons with other teachers on italki, I can definitely say he is one of the best. He takes the time to explain key concepts and gives great exercises to ensure mastery. In just two Ancient Greek lessons I already feel significantly more capable in my reading comprehension, and speaking abilities.
