Miriam is an awesome teacher! I really appreciated how she let me struggle to find my words instead of cutting in to rescue me. She did a great job of leading the conversation into a new topics so that we had a nice flow to the lesson. I think I spoke more Swahili than I have in a long time. Miriam is always so patient with me and very clear in her explanations. She also gives me useful homework to complete between our lessons that don't overwhelm me. She provides me with great culturally relevant explanations as well.
