Katherine Ding

Katherine is the best teacher I could imagine. She has been very supportive, encouraging and patient which only makes the whole studying process more pleasant and effecive. Because of her, learning Chinese became easy and I can feel my progress.

I feel so blessed to have Ding as my teacher. She has such a great ability to tune into the individual student, and her feedback is bang on. I'm taking classes with her to work on pronunciation, and every lesson she adapts things even more to my personal learning style. It's so helpful and has totally changed the way I learn Chinese. I must sound like a shill, but I'm serious. I feel so relieved and encouraged, because language does not come naturally to me, and I really think I would have given up if it weren't for Ding laoshi. Thank you again Ding!

Ding is such a great teacher! I'm getting lessons from her about pronunciation, and she's totally in a league of her own. Somehow, even though classes are over the internet, she can tell what shapes I am making with my mouth and show me what to tweak to improve my pronunciation. Often, my listening ability is not good enough to be able to really hear the difference between good and bad pronunciation and tones, but she has a remarkable ability to break it down and explain it to me in a way I can understand. She's clearly very good at adapting to each individual student. She's really friendly and supportive, too, which has really helped me lose my self-consciousness and just focus on learning.
