Hi there! I'm Coty, your future English teacher. I'm from the United States, and I've been teaching abroad since 2018. My experiences across different cultures have shaped my teaching style, making my lessons engaging, practical, and fun! Whether you're looking to improve your conversation skills, prepare for exams, or just gain confidence in English, I’m here to help. As a language learner myself (currently studying Polish while living in Poland), I understand the challenges of learning a new language. That’s why I create a supportive and relaxed environment where you can feel comfortable making mistakes and learning from them.

My Teaching Approach My lessons are all about you. I believe in a student-first approach, meaning you’ll have the space to express yourself without constant interruptions. Instead of correcting you mid-sentence, I’ll gently guide you at a natural stopping point and encourage you to self-correct. My goal is to help you feel comfortable, confident, and unafraid of making mistakes—because that’s how real learning happens! My Qualifications ✔ Bachelor of Arts in History – Southeastern Louisiana University ✔ CELTA Certified – Cambridge English ✔ TEFL Certified – Teaching English as a Foreign Language

Mes leçons et ma méthode d'enseignement

Conversation Lessons: These are better suited for speakers who have B1 to C1 levels of English. We focus on conversation and speaking. If there is a common pattern of mistakes, we will address it. However, we will not use a book. Book Lessons: Using my digital copy of 'Voices' from National Geographic, we will develop your skills (reading, listening, and writing) to not only be able to listen and understand, but be able to communicate meaningfully. You do not need to purchase these books. They are quite expensive. FOR IELTS: I will prepare you for the speaking portion of the IELTS. This class will move very quickly. You should prepare a drink due to the amount of speaking you'll be doing.

Coty has been so patient and supportive. When I told him I plan to have IELTS, he devoted so much time and efforts in preparing me for the speaking that I eventually got a very desirable result. In addition, the materials we read each week also help me got a full point in reading. The most important thing is that he really gives me confidence to speak and effectively communicate with people. Having such a brilliant teacher is my pleasure.
