Hello! My name is Timothy, or Tim, and I’ve been a teacher of English as a foreign language since October of last year. I am originally from London but I started teaching English after moving to Sicily to work as a language assistant in a high school close to the city of Catania. I first moved to Italy after I finished studying my Master’s in Urban Sustainability. I lived in Milan for one year as part of a European volunteering project in a cultural centre. I then moved here to Sicily to teach English. In total, I have now been living in Italy for about two and a half years, so I also speak Italian at an upper-intermediate level.Moi en tant que professeur
As a teacher, I can be very flexible, and during our trial lesson we will evaluate both your current level of English, your goals in the language, and your interests, so that we can work with materials that are more likely to interest you personally. Based upon this evaluation, I will ensure that all our future lessons are of an adequate level and have your goals in mind, so whether you are a beginner, or advanced; are learning English for fun, or for business or study purposes, our lessons will be able to offer you something new.Mes leçons et ma méthode d'enseignement
I believe that all good language learning rests on a good knowledge of the grammar, as well as confidence and fluency. Therefore, in line with your goals, we will cover new grammar, and also make sure that we practice it in natural conversation, to improve both your accuracy and fluency. We will do this through activities together, and conversation - as well as through using relavant and authentic real-world materials to keep your English learning interesting and applicable to real-life situations.Mes ressources d'enseignement
