Hi, I'm Daria and I am a polyglot. I teach Romanian, Russian, English and Italian on italki. I have a degree in Philosophy, International, and Economic Studies from Ca' Foscari University of Venice. 🎓 I wrote my final dissertation on medical ethics. I've worked on academic, business, and cultural projects, providing both translation and consecutive interpretation for international NGOs and other organizations. 🔗 I love travelling and I visited 14 countries in Europe and America. 🌍 Besides my academic interest in philosophy and passion for languages I am an artist and I love dedicating my time to painting.Moi en tant que professeur
✔️ I aim to create a supportive and engaging learning environment through my patience so that each student feels welcomed. My experience as a multilingual translator and interpreter has given me deep insight into the challenges of cross-cultural and cross-language communication.
✔️ I focus on practical communication skills while also improving grammar, vocabulary, and cultural understanding. I am highly adaptable and ready to improvise to match the student's pace and mood in class. I am ready to teach students of any age and level. The lesson content varies by lesson type:
✔️ Conversation: speaking practice with a focus on oral language skills. We can have a natural conversation on spontaneous topics or talk based on a text/article/prompt chosen and prepared in advance.
✔️ Business & academic: focus on formal/official language register for both spoken and written communication. We can prepare for interviews and presentations as well as review your CV, letters of intention, and other pieces of writing.
✔️ Grammar, reading, and writing: structured and systematic approach to the language. We start with rules and theory after which practice of the new knowledge follows. Doing homework will benefit you in these classes.Mes ressources d'enseignement

My main request was to practice speaking skills, and Dasha provided the perfect environment for that. She combines grammar examples with opportunities to have a friendly chat and practice speaking, and I feel more confident already when using the studied language in a real environment.

One challenge with language learning is maintaining interest and finding interesting conversation topics. This is not a problem with Daria. A thought-provoking and compelling conversation helps to push you into full immersion when speaking and thinking in a foreign language.
