Derian is a great teacher! Both of my sons enjoy his class very much ! It's not just about he is very professional in preparing learning materials, his method of teaching making students engaged, but also his outgoing, enthusiastic personality, everything making him an extreme high-value teacher. I’ve been studying Mandarin with Derian for almost a year, and he’s honestly fantastic. He’s fun to talk to, never runs out of topics, and always asks great questions that get you speaking more (MOST important factor in learning I believe). He’s also a real professional teacher with a proper university degree in teaching Mandarin to foreigners, so while fun in lessons is very important, he can also properly explain everything about grammar or sentence structures. While his English (and Russian, Indonesian...) is flawless, he will make sure to keep the lesson in Mandarin as much as possible for your level. His teaching style is super adaptive, and he provides tons of useful materials — both HSK and non‑HSK — including mock exams that really helped me prepare. Thanks to his guidance, I passed HSK3 with a score of 92/100 after only a few months ;). I couldn’t recommend him more. Most importantly, even after many lessons, every time I look forward to the next time we meet!

I have been taking classes with Derian for more than 5 months so far I recommend him for sure if you are looking for serious improvements and value for your money his teaching style is comprehensive which includes reading, listening, speaking and writing tips .
