My name is Ekaterina, or Katya for short. I'm not just a native Russian speaker but also a professional teacher of Russian as a foreign language (my diploma can't lie!). So if you really want to learn how to speak proper Russian, and avoid common mistakes that even natives make, I'm the right tutor for you. I am also a certified English teacher and did a teacher training course in Suffolk, UK.

I've been teaching Russian and English for 15 years now. For me, teaching isn't just a job. It's my passion and I love helping students learn and become more confident in speaking the languages. I teach both beginners and advanced learners, children and adults. I'm interested in long term students.

If you become one of my returning students, you will also have your previous lessons and homework archived on Google drive so you can review previously covered topics whenever you feel like it.

Great teacher all around! She has been teaching me Russian for around 6 months now, her lessons are very personalized, and she has a very articulate understanding of the language. She also explains things in very easy-to-digest ways.

I can't say enough good things about Katya. She goes above and beyond for her students. She is the best, her lessons really get you thinking in Russian about topics you might not have experience talking about. She is kind with her corrections and makes the whole experience easy especially if you get anxious when speaking in your target language.

Amazing lesson with Ekaterina as always. I believe she's one of the best tutors on italki, if not the best, and probably outside of italki as well. It's amazing that she can explain things well in English when I have difficulty understanding a concept. She explains them so well in English that sometimes I think she's the native English speaker and not me! I'm shocked she doesn't have tons more bookings for English. I highly recommend her for anyone who is looking for a Russian or English tutor! Спасибо за отличный урок!
