My name is Melba Netshidzati and I have been teaching Tshivenda and English for the past 3 years. I am From Limpopo, South Africa and I live here in Johannesburg. I have just obtained my degree in Management Studies from the University of Cape Town. I love travelling, cooking, language translation, making candles, meeting new people and trying different foods. I have never travelled outside my country but would like to, in the near future. My favourite dish is Tripe and Dombolo (steamed bread). I love dogs and my first dog was named Frodo after Frodo in The Lord of the Rings. I love meeting new people and interacting with people from all over the world will be even better.Moi en tant que professeur
As a teacher, I take a meaning-focused approach to my students. I employ task-based teaching methods in the classroom. We also learn by seeing so I use a lot of visuals. I have been a tutor for 3 years and the whole time I have taught both adults and young kids. I will make sure the student knows what the lesson will be about beforehand so that we are both prepared and ready for the lesson.Mes leçons et ma méthode d'enseignement
My teaching will take different formats depending on the lesson. But, I mainly intend to prepare my students for the Tshivenda and English-speaking world. I include many interactive activities in my Tshivenda and English lessons so you can expect a lot of those and I try to keep the lesson fun. I always try to ensure there is homework if necessary so that the learning continues. Everyone is safe in my class and I work patiently to reach your goals.Mes ressources d'enseignement

Melba is a pleasant, polite, well-prepared and gentle teacher. Before the lesson, she asked me in advance about what I would like to learn and she made a lot of effort to share with me not just Venda as a language but also the culture. It was very enjoyable experience and I am so glad to know Melba and more about Venda. Thank you! ☺️
