My name is Jacob and I am from St. Louis, Missouri. I am currently living in Bursa, Turkey. I love football (soccer), reading, spending time with my family, watching films and series, and traveling, of course. I have lived and worked in Costa Rica, Turkey, and China.
As a second language learner myself, I know how demanding and difficult it can be to learn a new language. I also know that the payoff is tremendously rewarding and something in which I take great pride. I have spent the last 7 years guiding students in middle school and high school. I have also had many private students that are adults, either looking for new job opportunities or wanting to expand their horizons with a new language. I primarily have focused on academic English, but I am also very capable of teaching and aiding in your ability to learn a second language quickly and efficiently to meet your goals and expectations. I have specialized in IELTS, TOEFL, SAT, and ACT English for the last several years.

I have dynamic lessons that focus on the 4 main parts of language acquisition. I try to keep things light, but also try to push a little so that you can realize your dreams of speaking a second language. jacob is amazing! he has remembered what we have talked before, i think that he must put a lot of time in our class. and he is responsible and funny, also he has smart way to explain new words or phrase verbs that have many means to let me understand. hope you can learn a lot from him as well! a lit bit advice from me is: i hope we could have more deep conversation which can show our deep mind and great logic. thank you!
