I think the best way to learn a language is to have an interest in it and its' culture. I believe that teaching should have the student in focus. For me, the most important thing is that you at least reach your goals, and if you learn even more, then that's always awesome. When a class is scheduled, it is part of my weekly plan and I get ready for it. I conduct a detailed journal of what I have been doing with my student, I write down every session, thus it is easy for me to check what we did on our past sessions. I used to teach more conventionally, meaning with my students being in the same room as me. In 2021 I started using Skype for my classes and things work out very well. I am always punctual as I respect the time my students take for our class, likewise I do appreciate if my students do the same.
