I have been working with Holger for about 3 months and have found him to be an excellent tutor. He adapts to the specific requirements I have and is able to dive into the finer points of the language without becoming overly complex or difficult to understand. Conversations are easy and he is happy to work through problem solving highly technical issues together and with a lot of patience. I look forward to continuing to work with Holger as I prepare for my B2-exam in September!

I’ve been taking lessons with Rosie for over 9 months now, and her lessons have helped my Estonian to reach a level that I never thought I’d be able to reach. I went from only being able to have simple conversations where I didn’t understand 75%-90% of what was said, to being able to converse much more confidently and comfortably on a variety of topics. Rosie makes lessons fun, and I always look forward to them. If you are looking for someone to help you level up your Estonian, Rosie is that person!

Thanks again for another great lesson, and for addressing all my too-specific grammar questions! I got a lot of grammar exposure in context in this lesson that I hadn't had before, and it made things I'd had a vague sense of but couldn't put into use much clearer and useable for me! I appreciate that you go along with my wild guesses at things without my knowing too much about the actual answers as my way to see how accurate or off-target my hunches about Estonian are at this super-early stage in my learning! I got a lot out of doing the declension activity at the end — both in putting new things to use and also testing out how much I do and don't already know.

We revised weather-related vocabulary, talked about what to see and do in Tallinn and looked at the locative cases for different nouns. Olen kahe nädala pärast Tallinna reisiks valmis :)

Markus has been a great teacher. He explains things thoroughly to make sure everything was understood. I enjoy the fact that he gives me the opportunity to try to speak and get my thoughts out and then explaining he makes suggestions as to how to better say what I want to say. He has great material to work with and he has been consistent which I appreciate a lot. Overall, superb!

Having taken Estonian lessons with Triinu for over a year, I can guarantee that she is one of the most patient people I have ever met. At first, I struggled a lot with just how complex the language really is, but with her help, I now leave every session feeling better about my abilities. Every week I look forward to the next. No complaints.

I had a good experience with her, speaking Estonian directly from the first lesson. Even though my level is beginner (probably not even A1), she made sure that I could understand her all the time. We switched to English only when it was really necessary. Also, she gave me feedback on how I could say things in a way that is proper Estonian, and not an educated guess from Finnish.

Rääkisime meie plaanidest, mida me teeme suvel, ja ka oma lastelt. Mariaga vestelda on alati mõnus ja huvitav, ja iga kord õppin natuke paremini Eesti keelt. Muidugi tunnid pole ainult vestlemine, aga harjutame ka sõnavara kasutada. Näiteks õppisin täna et "täiskasvanute hulgas" kõlab paremini kui "täiskasvanute vahel", või et turistina saan autot rentida või üürima 😀 Aitäh Maria!

Another great Estonian lesson with Erik. With today's lesson, he challenged me to translate the Estonian texts in our lesson into Russian instead of English. It was a lot of fun. I really enjoyed it. He's a good teacher. I look forward to our lessons each week.
