14+ years experience in distance teaching and learning Since 2010, I constantly learn together with conversation partners in various languages. From this experience, I have gained ideas how language learning through conversation and via the internet is fun and efficient. My professional background is in education, but not in languages but in technical domains. This is is a little different than teaching in 1:1 settings, but I am still using several ideas from my other life also on italki. I'm calm and patient and try to correct mistakes at the end of the conversation instead of interrupting my students in the middle of a sentence since making mistakes is unavoidable yet essential if you want to become fluent in a language.
