TEFL-certified teacher with experience teaching in Europe, Asia, & the US. Feel free to message me! I use the target language (if you feel comfortable with it) to ensure you improve quickly through conversation practice! It's important to me that you speak as much as possible and push your limits to ensure improvement! I am open to doing anything, so no matter where you are from or how you like to learn I am willing to adapt to that. I focus on helping you with your needs and also provide homework suited to your way of life and schedule to ensure what we learned stays safe inside your memory bank. One of the most amazing things about being a teacher is meeting so many great people and build long-term relationships through communication and understanding, so I hope we get to do that!

Experienced Norwegian Educator: Thousands of Successful Lessons Delivered with Expertise Objectively summarizing oneself can be a daunting task, so I often leave it to my students to sketch their own impressions. Looking back at my own schooling, the memory of stern, results-focused teachers still looms large—those whose approach we might recall less than fondly. In contrast, it was the educators who wove humor, patience, and empathy into their teaching who truly made a lasting impact. I warmly regard these individuals with the term "HYGGELIG." While dictionaries may render this Norwegian word as "pleasant" or "cozy," it embodies a deeper, almost ineffable sense of warmth and contentment, a concept that goes beyond the constraints of language.

Thomas - teaching 11, beginner´s knowledge in 3 more When teaching I take both my schedule and my classes seriously. When a class is scheduled, it is part of my weekly plan and I get ready for it. I conduct a detailed journal of what I have been doing with my student, I write down every session, thus it is easy for me to check what we did on our past sessions. I used to teach more conventionally, meaning with my students being in the same room as me. Since then, I have been using Skype for my classes and things work out very well. Do make sure though to have a reliable internet connection and a strong Wi-Fi. I am always punctual as I respect the time my students have taken for our class, likewise I do appreciate if my students do the same.

Language, culture and travel enthusiast with a natural and holistic approach to language learning As a teacher, my approach to language learning is based on my own experience of learning foreign languages as an adult. I have a good ear and have always been good with languages. I offer insights into Norwegian culture and social ways whilst being a curious, patient, open friend whom loves conversation. The gift of language and the process of progressively mastering a new language is of the greatest joy to me. You will feel that in my classes, where I bring a positive mindset, motivation and perspective on the journey of learning a new language. I have a holistic viewpoint on things, value human connection, love storytelling. I like to create a relaxed atmosphere in class.

Certified Italian/Norwegian teacher with more than15 years teaching experience I am a friendly teacher and i base my lessons on original materials (books, poetry, conversation, video/files) and try to speak as much as possible in the language you study, according to your level. I am fond of the deductive process of learning a language: from the text to the rules (and not the other way round) I have plenty of authentic material with me that we can use for our lesson, including pictures, poetries, talk show... depending on your interests and level too. I try to keep the lesson useful and interesting, and most important never boring as learning a new language must be in the very first place FUN !

Whatever your goals are, I'll do everything I can to help you reach them :) As a teacher, my aim is to encourage you, be patient, and understanding. My main goal is to help you learn a language effectively and at your own pace, while also enjoying the entirety of the process. Having fun is part of learning too :) Still, an important part of mastering any language, is the amount of effort you put in. Not just in terms of the lessons themselves, but the work you do outside them. That could be reading, listening to podcasts or watching TV shows. Just taking lessons will make the road to mastering either Norwegian or English arduous.

First of all it is important to me to know your goals before we start. There are many reasons why someone would like to learn Norwegian, maybe you have relatives living in Norway today, or perhaps your ancestors emigrated from Norway a long time ago? It may also be that you are planning a vacation to Norway so see the wonderful nature and experience the culture of the Vikings! Quite a few people would like to learn Norwegian well in order to get a job in Norway! Based on your goals I will make an individual curriculum that focus on what you need to learn in order to master the Norwegian language at a level that you need to succeed.

Standard Oslo Dialect (Bokmål) Learn Through Speaking! All students are different, though most want a combination of theory and practice! It is the most common preference of students to learn 50% theory (following text- and workbooks), and 50% speaking practice. I will ask you about what you prefer, and we can try different things. - Have prepared many students to pass Norwegian exams, successfully.

Teacher with an adventurous soul As I learned Spanish as an adult, I understand the journey of learning a new language, the fear of speaking out loud and saying anything wrong. But I also know that that is the way to learn, from our mistakes. I will make you feel comfortable right away, I am very outgoing, and I always try and find common ground so we can get to know each other! I tend to be a bit humorous when it comes to understanding and looking at not only Norwegian but cultural characteristics in general. Since I have a good ear for languages and after living abroad for a long time, I can help you create bridges and memorize words, phrases, and sentences based on cultural similarities.
