Hi! I'm Renae from Melbourne, Australia, and I currently live in Jakarta, Indonesia! Since November 2017 I've been teaching English in both online and offline. I specialise in Business English (English for the workplace) as well as conversational English and teaching adults
My hobbies are cooking, swimming at the beach, reading and gardening. I am currently learning Indonesian, so I understand how it feels to learn a foreign language! I am a positive, calm and friendly teacher who always tries to give my students the best lesson that I possibly can. I love to build a connection with my students. I think this is a great way to understand YOU and what kind of things you want to learn. I always try to add a bit of Australian influence into my classes, too!
I like to focus on building your fluency. I believe that fluency and confidence are the most important things in language learning. I think that it is important to be accurate with your grammar, but ultimately it is your fluency and confidence that will bring you to the "next level" in English.Le mie lezioni e il mio metodo di insegnamento
In three words, I would describe my teaching style as fun, interactive and engaging. I like to get my students speaking as much as possible to build fluency and confidence. I usually ask a lot of questions so that you can practice your speaking! I always tailor my lessons to your English needs, so every lesson is designed especially for you, your English level and your interests.
I use a mix of different materials and tools, like Google Drive, screen share, screenshots, websites and online quizzes. I also use speaking and reading activities to build areas of fluency and vocabulary.
I am also very organised - I always keep lesson records so I remember what we have discussed.Il mio materiale didattico
