I provide lessons that focus on conversation where we practice speaking about different topics that interest you in English and discuss any questions you may have about: grammar, syntax or vocabulary. I can also provide more structured lessons that follow a course book and provide you with more specific exercises to improve your English ability. I also offer English lessons for young learners. I use many different materials in my lessons such as: articles, videos and games! Piano Instructor Self EmployedI taught piano to beginner learners for three years. In doing so I employed a mixed curriculum using both coursebooks but also resources I created myself to improve the learners experience, I also encouraged regular practice while also providing regular feedback on how to fix mistakes and improve. All of these skills will be helpful in language instruction as well.

Volunteer Event Host DuolingoThis is a volunteer position where I host events -online discussions via Zoom- on the language learning platform Duolingo. My responsibilities are to facilitate discussions among EFL learners by; asking questions, coming up with prompts and creating interesting activities to encourage languages learners to get outside their comfort zone.

My 12-year-old son has been taking weekly conversation classes with James since September 2022 and he loves it. It's like chatting with a friend. James really knows how to engage with kids. Every time my son has to work on a vocabulary worksheet(easy and fun) before class and they chat about the topic (school, animals, movies, sports...).

James is really good with kids and teenagers. After I first booked a lesson for my son, James contact me to ask about him, his hobbies, and the things that he is interested in. James came well prepared to the lesson and made great contact with my son in a way that my son, who usually does like to learn in his class, really enjoyed the lessons with James, he increased his vocabulary and especially his self-confidence in the English

I booked this lesson for my son of 12. He is a bit shy, but he felt instantly well with James, and the half-hour lesson flew away. My son asked when will be the next lesson, and he is looking forward to it.
The material was perfect for a guy this age. James made my son talk and explained the correct pronunciation.
Great teacher, great fun, the perfect way to learn English when you are 12!
I thoroughly recommend James for kids lessons!

My daughter Daria (7yo) had 5 classes with James so far and she loved them! For me it was amazing how fast James won Daria to him, because normally it takes her some time to get used to new people. He teaches her both correct pronunciation and spelling and in a very fun and engaging way. I can see that she enjoys learning which was my greatest goal when I looked for a teacher. Thank you James! Your class has just finished and Daria is already waiting for the next one!
