I’m an adult, but a lot of people assume anime is just for kids. The truth is many anime explore mature themes and include scenes that aren’t appropriate for children. At work my colleagues tease me for being childish whenever I bring up anime or recommend a show. Maybe I’m just unlucky that they don’t share my taste, or maybe they think they’re too “grown-up” for it. During lunch the conversation usually centers on trending reels on social media , fashion, or celebrities, so I often eat alone at my table watching an episode. Honestly, I don’t mind; it’s a nice break.

Advice from English tutor Alice: Students that are new to Italki or maybe even not new. Most do not read a tutor or teacher's profile before booking a lesson with them. Here's what you could learn by reading a tutor or teacher's profile before booking a class with them. 1. You could learn what levels they tutor. Maybe they only tutor certain levels. 2. You could learn what areas they are able to help with. Maybe they only help with grammar. Maybe they only help with reading. Maybe they only help with speaking. 3. You could learn if they have an age requirement for their classes. Maybe they help children. Maybe they don't. 4. You could learn about their lessons by reading their lesson descriptions. Understand that Italki has thousands of tutors and teachers and we're all different. We're not all the same. Learn how each tutor or teacher is different by reading their profile or at least watching their Intro video so you know if they might be a good fit for your language learning needs.

The board game I play most definitely is the chinese chess. This game is very similar to anther board game called chess. Both of them have a board with different characters on it. Chinese chess has 32 characters in two colours. Each of the two players has 16 chacters. The 32 characters involves one general, two advisers, two elephants, two horses, two cannons, two chariots and five soliders. Each kind of characters has special rule to work, but each of them can be really powerful. For example, a solider can't do anything besides defending on its own side, but if it corss the river in the middle of the board it can kill any characters in step ahead of it. All the characters have the only purpose is to kill the enemy general and protect their own general. If one of the generals killed, game over! The most interesting thing about chinese chess is its diversity. Different people have different habits of managing their character. some people really like to use cannons and chariots to kill the characters in a long distance, but others like horses to walk in a zigzag way to kill the characters by a suprise. So, a professional might be defeated by a beginner. It's really fun! This game tell us a truth that you can deal with the changing things with a steady mind. Just let the event develops for a while, then decide what we should do to get the final victory.
