INTRODUCTION: Want to attend university in America? Then, this Coming to America session is for you. Join me for a talk about University with an American Student, currently in her first year of undergraduate studies in America. She’ll share about her experience as a freshman in university- preparing for university, tuition, living on campus, choosing a major, classes, studying, eating, meeting new people, dos & don’ts and more. Plus, she’ll be open to answering your questions about university based on her knowledge and experience. And of course, I’ll be on hand, to chime in and answer some questions from time-to-time based on my own university experience, as well as share helpful information for you as a student studying abroad based on my experience knowing and working with students from other countries already studying or planning to study abroad in America. IN THIS CLASS: (1) You will listen to an American Student share about her experience in her first year of university. (2) You will listen to an American Teacher share helpful information about studying abroad and her experience as a university student in America. (3) You will ask and get answers to questions about university in America. THIS CLASS IS FOR: (1) Those who have good listening and speaking skills. (2) Those who want to listen to and ask questions about information about university in America presented by native English speakers. (3) Those from countries outside America who want to attend university in America. MATERIALS NEEDED: Coming to America: University Note-Taking Sheet PREPARATION: (1) Prepare any questions you may want to ask and get answers to about university in America during the class. (2) Decide the name you prefer the teacher and group members to call you during the session, and enter it as your Display Name on Zoom.

(1) You will discover what to expect and prepare for as a student from a foreign country attending university in America by listening to information shared by an American University student and American teacher who has taught students abroad in other countries who were planning to or did study in America. (2) You will demonstrate your ability to interact with and inquire about information presented to you by native English speakers by asking them questions about university in America.
