This lesson is based on an article which looks at the practice of scalping - buying goods for market price and then selling them at an increased price. Exercises look at phrasal verbs, related vocabulary, reading skills and comprehension. Students will have the opportunity to discuss questions about vocabulary and the morality of scalping. This group lesson is for adult English students (B2-C1) who want to speak about a specific topic with a professional teacher and other students from all over the world! We will start by doing a warm-up game, work in pairs, and discuss the chosen topic. Please note: This group class is for students between the levels of B2-C1. Please read the worksheet and complete the tasks before the lesson starts. I will ask my students to read the article so please be prepared. The goal of each lesson is to discuss a specific topic, expand vocabulary, and improve the student's confidence as an English speaker in a relaxed and fun environment. Since this is a business class, I encourage each student to speak openly with other students. Ask questions and share your opinions! Due to this being a group lesson, students will not be corrected individually. Instead, collective corrections will be noted and sent to each student at the end of the class.
