Una volpe affamata entra in un bosco in cerca di cibo. All'improvviso, nota in un tronco vuoto del pane e del formaggio e decide di mangiarli. Finito il pasto, la volpe cerca di uscire dal tronco, ma non ci riesce, avendo la pancia piena. Una sua amica volpe, che passa di lì, la rassicura dicendole che, una volta digerito, la sua pancia tornerà come prima e lei potrà finalmente uscire dal tronco.

LANGUAGE NOTES
• Hey! is a friendly expression meaning “hello.”
• How did your physics exam go? is a way of saying “How was your physics exam?”
• I’m just glad … Notice the stress on “glad.” “Just” is used for emphasis before an 
adjective here.
• How about you … Notice the intonation falls here because the speaker is going to 
follow it up with a detailed question.
• How’d your presentation … Notice the contraction for “How did” sounds like /howdj/ 
and “your” sounds like /yer/.
• Do you feel like here has the meaning of “do you want to.” Notice “do you feel like” is 
followed by an “-ing” verb (studying).
• Come over here has the meaning of “come to my house.”

〜きる
意味は最後まで〜する、とか強く〜するなどというようなことを言いたい時に使います。


・はじめてのマラソンを走り切りました

・私はこの仕事を最後までやり切りました

・この薬は苦いけどなんとか飲み切りました

・この小説を書き切りました

・今日の試合に全てを出し切ります



こんな感じの例文になりました。
