はい、こんにちは。今回はポッドキャストの19回目です。やっとitalkiのビデオをアップデートしました。レッスンの内容も少しアップデートしました。リーディングのクラスを取る生徒さんが少なくなっていたので、代わりにJLPTのクラスを作りました。会話のクラスと文法のクラスは、今まで通り続けます。

Hello, this is episode 19 of season 2 of my podcast. I have finally updated the italki video. I have also updated my lessons a bit. As fewer students were taking the reading class, I created a JLPT class instead. The conversation and grammar classes will continue as before.

今日は回転寿司の話をします。日本ではレストランや、スーパーや、駅など、いろいろなところで寿司が買えます。なので、高い寿司と安い寿司があります。回転寿司は、一般的に、安い寿司が食べられるレストランです。安いので、学生や、子供がいる家族に人気です。一方で、マナーが悪い客が問題になっています。今年の１月、高校生が回転寿司で迷惑なことをして、SNSにアップロードする事件がありました。それから回転寿司のイメージが悪くなってしまい、日本では少し人気がなくなっています。

Today I will talk about kaitenzushi (conveyor belt sushi). In Japan, you can buy sushi at restaurants, supermarkets, train stations and many other places. So there is expensive sushi and cheap sushi. Kaitenzushi is generally a restaurant where you can eat cheap sushi. Because it is inexpensive, it is popular with students and families with children. On the other hand, customers with bad manners have become a problem. In January this year, there was an incident in which a high school student behaved badly at a kaitenzushi restaurant and uploaded it to social networking sites. Since then, the image of kaitenzushi has been tarnished and it has become a little less popular in Japan.

だけど、最近の回転寿司はとても便利です。回転寿司のチェーンは、ハイテク化が進んでいます。レストランで順番を待ったり、注文をしたり、お金を払ったりするプロセスを、全てセルフサービスで行える店があります。私は先週、初めて近所の回転寿司に行きました。便利で驚きました。座ったまま何でもできて、私が子供の頃行った回転寿司とは全然違いました。このチェーンでは、仕事を全部AIに任せて、完全に無人にする計画があるそうです。「無人」とは、まったく人がいないことです。SFみたいですね。

私（わたし）にとって５月（ごがつ）前半（ぜんはん）は悩（なや）む時期（じき）だ。なぜなら５月11日（じゅういちにち）は母（はは）の誕生日（たんじょうび）、そして５月の第2（だいに）日曜日（にちようび）は母の日（ひ）があるからだ。

毎年（まいとし）どんなことをしたら、母が喜（よろこ）ぶか考（かんが）える。実家（じっか）を出（で）てからは、母に会（あ）いに実家（じっか）に帰（かえ）って旅行（りょこう）に連（つ）れていって、美味（おい）しい食事（しょくじ）を共（とも）に楽（たの）しんだが、今年（ことし）は少（すこ）し忙（いそが）しく実家に帰れそうもないので、ギフトを贈（おく）ることにした。誕生日ギフトはコーヒー豆（まめ）と水出（みずだ）しコーヒーポット、母の日ギフトとしてカーネーションを選（えら）んだ。

今年贈るカーネーションは「プラムタルト」という品種（ひんしゅ）だ。花（はな）の中心（ちゅうしん）が濃（こ）いピンクで、白（しろ）い縁（ふち）取（ど）りが特徴（とくちょう）の華（はな）やかな品種で、花が好（す）きな母も喜ぶと思（おも）う。贈り物（もの）で日頃（ひごろ）の感謝（かんしゃ）の気持（きも）ちが伝（つた）われば嬉（うれ）しいと思う反面（はんめん）、ギフト選びは難（むずか）しい。母の場合（ばあい）は趣味（しゅみ）や好物（こうぶつ）が分（わ）かってるから選びやすいが、父（ちち）の日はさらに悩みそうだ。

皆（みな）さんは毎年どんな風（ふう）に感謝を伝えてるのだろう。
