东施效颦[dōng shī xiào pín]：Dongshi/imitate/frown，to look all the uglier by mimicking the beauty 
越国 yuè guó：A state，In the Spring and Autumn Period of Chinese history
西施 xī shī ：A famous Chinese beauty woman.
东施 dōng sh ：A ugly woman
皱眉 zhòu méi：knit one's brows;frown
捂着 wǔ zhe：Cover;clutch
心口痛 xīn kǒu tòng：heart pain
左邻右舍 zuǒ lín yòu shè： neighbours
 This idiom came to be used to indicate improper imitation that produces the reverse effect.
