As a pessimist, you might view language learning as hard work—and you’re not wrong.
Language acquisition requires effort, repetition, and managing confusion.

Here’s the beautiful part: Pessimists tend to manage disappointment better than idealists.
When you anticipate difficulty, you're less likely to be devastated by it.

In psychological terms, this creates cognitive resilience—the ability to stay in the game even when things go wrong. You expect challenges. You face them head-on. You recover faster because you weren’t expecting ease.

You might never say, “I’m going to be fluent in a year.” That’s okay.
But you might say, “I’m going to keep learning, even if progress is slow.”
And that is the spirit of persistence.
Don’t try to change who you are. Just learn to steer with it.
Pessimism doesn’t mean you’re giving up—it means you’re prepared to endure.
And that, my dear listener, is what long-term success looks like.

No sé cómo se escribe la palabra «SI». ¿Con acento o sin acento? Muy fácil, ahora mismo te lo explico. Te voy a explicar las diferencias entre «SI» y «SÍ» en español.
«SI» vs «SÍ» en español | ¿CON Acento o SIN Acento?
Escribo «SÍ» con un acento cuando es una afirmación:

«Sí, quiero un trozo de tarta».

O es un pronombre personal:

«Para sí mismo».

Se escribe «SI» sin acento cuando es una conjunción:

«Si como mucha tarta, después me duele la tripa».

«SÍ» – con acento, pronombre o afirmación.

«SI» – sin acento, conjunción.

今日は7月2日。天気は曇り。気温は22℃。
今日も北海道からPodcastをお届けします。

今日はオンライン日本語教師として、大切にしていることについて、話をします。

3つの話をします。


1つ目は、教師というより、カスタマーサービスをするという認識

私は20年間、コーヒーショップで働いていました。ですので、カスタマー、お客さまに対しては、満足度を上げることを大切にしています。

気をつけているのは、上からの目線にならないこと。
人は知っていることを知らない人に教える時、無意識に上からになってしまう場合がありますよね。
ですが、その雰囲気は相手に伝わります。
相手は上から言われていると感じます。
そして、生徒さんは自分には能力がないと感じやすくなります。ですので、そうならないように気をつけています。

知っている情報が違うだけで、決してえらいわけではない、ということですね。1人の人として関わります。

2つ目は、安心感を提供する

これは自分の体験の裏返しでもあります。
レッスンでは、安心感を大切にしています。
現在、私は英語のレッスンを受けています。
知識を教えてもらえることも嬉しいですが、個人的には、間違えたり、上手く話せなくても、受け止めてくれる安心感を作ってもらえる方が嬉しく感じます。
その安心感がチャレンジ意欲を引き出すとも感じています。
ですので、私はその安心感を作るように努力しています。


3つ目は、達成感をうみだす

生徒さんが、自分の日本語は良くなっている！
という実感を持ってもらえることを大切にしています。
日常会話をしながら、新しい言葉やフレーズがあれば、説明します。最後に良かったことを伝えるようにしています。
もちろん、うまくいくときも、そうでないときもあります。

個別のオンラインレッスンを選ばれる方は、学校のような授業の形よりも、とにかく話したい！という方が多いと思います。会話をすることで、良くなっている実感を持ってもらえたら嬉しいです。


私は、この仕事をはじめて、世界の知らないことを日本語学習者のみなさんからたくさん教えてもらっています。本当におもしろくて、やりがいのある仕事だと思います。いつも、ありがとうございます！

これからも私を選んでくれたみなさんに、安心感を持って、日本語を楽しく勉強してもらえるようにしたいと思います。
