説明
Nothing happens. Two people talk on a verandah one evening. And that is exactly what real Malayalam sounds like. The final immersion class: one long, unscripted-feeling conversation at normal speed — tea that must be accepted, how work is going, and how the monsoon no longer arrives on June the first. The hardest listening in the course, because it is just life. The whole class is in Malayalam — listen for the shape first, let the rest wash over you, and replay it daily for a week. Words and phrases you will hear: ഇരിക്ക് മോളേ (irikku mole) – sit down, dear ഒരു ചായ എടുക്കട്ടെ? (oru chaaya edukkatte?) – shall I get you a tea? ഇപ്പോൾ കുടിച്ചതേയുള്ളൂ (ippol kudichatheyulloo) – I only just had one എന്തുണ്ട് വിശേഷം? (enthundu vishesham?) – what's new? പതിവുപോലെ (pathivupole) – as usual ജോലി എങ്ങനെയുണ്ട്? (joli enganeyundu?) – how's work? തിരക്കാണ് (thirakkaanu) – it's busy മഴ കുറഞ്ഞല്ലോ (mazha kuranjallo) – the rain has eased, hasn't it പണ്ട് (pandu) – in the old days കൃത്യമായി (kruthyamaayi) – exactly, on time ആർക്കറിയാം (aarkkariyaam) – who knows കാലാവസ്ഥ മാറി (kaalaavastha maari) – the climate has changed In this class: • One long natural conversation, heard once • Verandah small talk — tea, work, family, weather • How the monsoon has changed, in a neighbour's words • The final test of everything the immersion track has built Quizzes below.
