"I want to learn English."  This is the wrong goal!

Some people say that choosing the wrong goals can lead to self-sabotage.

When it comes to learning English (as it's the wrong goal in 90% of cases for my adult achievers), it leads to: A) lack of confidence (at some point in speaking); B) continuous self-doubt (on various levels). C) Never really experiencing delight and self-satisfaction about your progress.

Can you relate to any of the things I wrote above? Almost certainly, you can; some can confirm all three aspects.

لم يكن القرار سهلًا.
ترك البيت،
الذكريات،
والأشياء الصغيرة
التي لا تُعوّض.
لكن في تلك الليلة،
لم يكن هناك خيار.
أبٌ يحمل حقيبة،
وأمٌ تمسك بيد طفلها،
وطفلة صغيرة
لا تفهم لماذا الرحيل.
كان الطريق طويلًا.
خطوات سريعة،
ونظرات قلق،
وصمتٌ
أكثر من الكلام.
عند الحدود،
وقفوا.
لم يكن المكان مجرد خط على الخريطة…
بل كان
فاصلًا بين حياتين.
خلفهم…
كل ما يعرفونه.
وأمامهم…
كل ما لا يعرفونه.
سأل الطفل:
"أبي…
متى نعود؟"
نظر الأب إليه،
ثم قال بهدوء:
"قريبًا… إن شاء الله."
لم يكن متأكدًا.
لكن الأمل
كان كل ما يملكه.
عبروا الحدود.
لم يحملوا معهم الكثير…
لكنهم حملوا
أهم شيء:
بعضهم البعض.
