While it's obvious that the latest technologies help us communicating easily, which brings some opportunities, I believe that learning languages would be a more profound activity because we get to know different cultures, people, histories etc... That will enable us to have hearty talks with people from other countries / with foreign people. That's why I learn English and Chinese and want to make new friends!
