Yesterday, the tap handle was broken. So I called a hardware store, and I made a reservation with their staff. The man said he would visit the next evening (in reported speech, "tomorrow" becomes "the next day").
He visited my house and checked the broken part. He said this tap was (in reported speech, the present simple becomes the simple past) too old to replace that part.
I asked him to give me a quotation. First, he said that replacing that part will cost 86 000 (that is eighty six thousand yen, in your speech you said eight millions and six hundred yen which is 8 600 000).
Then I rejected it because it was too expensive. I wanted to ask another hardware store but after a few seconds, he changed his mind!!
The price ended up being 13 000 (same as before, this is thirteen thousand yen, you said one million and three hundred thousand yen which is 1 300 000)! The part actually existed!
He tried to rip me off!!
