Is this “마이클 미국 사람이예요” The correct way to say “Michael is American” or “Michael is American person”?

He is American or an American. "American", like "French", "Chinese", and so forth are always capitalized. I don't like that rule. I don't think those words should be capitalized when used as adjectives. I sometimes violate the rule. However, the rule being a rule, you must either follow it or be disobedient like me.

"미국" -- United States "사람" -- person So technically, "미국 사람" means "American person" or "person from America." It is just less common to hear the translation "Michael is a person from America" since in English "Michael is American" sounds most natural. The general meaning is the same though.

The first one is fine, but the second one needs an article to be grammatically correct: Michael is an American person. I would recommend that you just say it the first way.
