It is my IELTS Writing task 1 essay: "The line charts illustrate the percentages of households possessing three electrical appliances and the average time people spent on housework per week during the period between 1920 and 2019. Overall, electrical appliances were owned by a larger proportion of families throughout the period. Additionally, the figure for weekly hours spent on household chores experienced a downward trend towards the end of the period. Regarding the first line chart, in 1920, 40% and 30% of households owned washing machines and vacuum cleaners, respectively . Both of their figures saw a marked increase ,reaching 60% in 1960. Following that, the proportion of washing machine ownership fluctuated minimally over two years and then finished at approximately 75% at the end of the period ,while that of vacuum cleaner possession rose significantly to 100% and remained at this level until 2019. In contrast, refrigerators were least popular among households at the beginning of the period, with the figure standing at roughly 2%.Then, the figure for this electrical appliance grew dramatically to surpass other categories at 90% in 1960, and from 1980 onwards, every family in this nation had a refrigerator. The line charts illustrate the percentages of households possessing three electrical appliances and the average time people spent on housework per week during the period between 1920 and 2019. Overall, the ownership of electrical appliances increased over the period, while the average time spent on housework decreased. The first line chart shows that the percentage of households owning washing machines and vacuum cleaners increased from 40% and 30% in 1920 to 60% in 1960. The percentage of households owning washing machines then remained relatively stable, while the percentage of households owning vacuum cleaners continued to increase to 100% by 2019. The percentage of households owning refrigerators was much lower in 1920, at just 2%. However, this figure increased dramatically to 90% by 1960, and by 1980, all households owned a refrigerator. The second line chart shows that the average time spent on housework per week decreased from 50 hours in 1920 to 10 hours in 2019. This decrease was most significant in the 1960s, when the average time spent on housework fell from 50 hours to 20 hours. The decrease in the time spent on housework can be attributed to the increased ownership of electrical appliances. These appliances have made it possible to do housework more quickly and easily.
