February 15th was the 7th anniversary of my mother’s passing (are you talking about February 15th 2022? If you are talking about February 15th of this year you should use “will be” instead of “was”) but still, I can’t believe it. She sometimes appears in my dream, but she looks so sad. I really want to see her smile even if it’s just in a dream.
So, I danced the “Ka'a Na Ale” for her. This song is a hula song that covers a Japanese song titled “Hanamizuki”. Do you know this song? I love this song. This song talks about someone who passed away. It can relate to my feelings.
By the way, I researched / looked up the word “ 命日” in English. I found in the dictionary that it means “death anniversary”, I was confused. 死の記念日??It is true but only for me, so I used “anniversary of one’s passing” instead which sounds better. lol
