Could you please give me some example sentences of “namby-pamby”?

'Namby-pamby' means that something or someone is a bit pathetic, perhaps a bit over emotional or weak. It's used as an insult or to dismiss something as useless. So you could say, for example, 'Don't be such a namby-pamby!' if you think someone's being too sentimental about something i..e. 'When he didn't want to throw out his old football boots I told him to stop being such a namby-pamby'. This implies that the person with the boots is hanging onto them for sentimental reasons and I think they're being ridiculous! Or you could say, for example, 'Don't talk to me about love and all that namby pamby nonsense!', which would mean that you consider love to be a weakness. I hope that helps :-)
