This topic reminds me of an AD filmed by Yaoming many years ago. In that AD, some wealthy people were sitting around a table while enjoying shark fins. All of them were satisfied with the food until a curtain opened and showed that there were just at a restaurant under the water. Outside the window, there was a poor shark without its fins and at the sight of it all people in the room began to throw up. The title of the AD is: “no trade no k*lling”. In modern society, people have enough food to live, especially wealthy people, but they still try to search for some rare food/delicacies only them can enjoy. The food they eat may not be really healthy for them, but it can prove their high social status. Under such circumstances new trades emerged even though most of them were forbidden and illegal. Some poachers would even hunt rare species to make more profit out of it. So, how can sharks survive without their fins? How can governments prevent such trades?
