A question about fit/fit for: 1.He is the only person who fits this postion/job. 2.He is the only person who is fit for this postion/job. I looked this word fit & fit for in dictionary. Both expressions seem correct. I am wondering if there is any nuance between them or do they sound natural? Thanks!

We would use "fit for" more to imply that a person is qualified and capable. "Fits" is good for pointing out that they're well-suited to the job - it makes you think a little more of natural inclinations or personality. Good question!
