Last month, I met a student who barely spoke during the trial class.
His camera was off, his voice was soft, and he said, “I’m sorry… I don’t speak good English.”
But I didn’t see a weak student—I saw a brave learner.
So we played a game.
We told short stories.
We laughed at silly mistakes.
We celebrated every correct sentence like a victory.
One week later…
His camera was on. His smile was wide.
And he said, “Teacher, I love your classes. I’m not afraid anymore.”
This is what teaching means to me.
This is why I show up every day—with energy, heart, and a deep belief that every student has magic inside them.
To all my students and fellow teachers:
Never underestimate the power of kindness, creativity, and connection
