The Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, the fourth largest plateau of China is located mostly in Yunnan and Guizhou province, with an area of around 500,000 square kilometers and the average elevation of 2000-4000 meters. There are many deep and steep canyon contribute to its high in the west and low in the east and its numerous rivers. The rich soil in the area of the canyon is helpful to the crops' growing.
