I have been living in Turkey since 1982, so I had a chance to visit many regions of the country. The Anatolian part of our country has many high mountainous places where you can see different kinds of species, especially endangered ones. The most prominent one, which is protected by the government, is the Anatolian tiger. It is a wild cat, that has been living in a wild environment in the eastern part of our country. Our government has been struggling so much to protect them from intruders and reckless hunters. To protect their living areas and their homes, the wildlife protection ministry has been enacting new bills and laws to hinder unnecessary hunting. The other protection action is about restricting their entrance area. By erecting razor wires and poles to their living areas we can halt poachers and we can provide a pristine and undisturbed dwelling.
