Squatting and the law.
The news reported that they arrested the owner of the building who tried to kick squatters out of it. Imagine someone occupy your house while you're away with short trip. It's a dramatic event.

Squatting and the *law.* [1]
*The news reported* [2] that *they* [3] arrested the owner of the building *who tried* [4] to kick squatters out of it. Imagine someone *occupy* [5] your house while you're away *with* [6] short trip. *It's* [7] a *dramatic event.* [7]
[1] "law" should be capitalized to "Law," since it's the title of a story or post. You technically can keep it as is, because more and more people do it that way, but the older and stricter grammar says you need to capitalize. [2] you have two options here: "[name of a specific TV or radio channel you heard the news from] news reported" or "There was a news report" [3] "they" is too vague. you need to say who made the arrest--the police, detectives.... [4] this should be "for trying," since "to kick squatters out of it" is describing/modifying the word "arrested" not "owner." [5] you have two options. option one, add "ing" to "occupy" (occupying) to focus on the person's action being done over a period of time. option two, you can focus on the idea and say "Imagine if someone were to occupy". [6] "with" should be "on a" . [7] using "disgraceful event" or "disturbing event" instead of "dramatic" would better show your feelings of dislike. also, since you're talking about something imaginary/not real, you would use "it would be" instead of "it's". hope my explaining helps :)

Squatting and the law. The news reported that they (who are “they”?) had arrested the owner of the
building who had tried to kick squatters out of it. Imagine someone occupying your
house while you're away on a short trip. It's a disgrace.
Agree with you.
