When it comes the thing that impressed me most in my culture, I would say smearing the face of bride and groom's parents in the wedding. People think it is lucky and fun, while I beg to differ. Literally, it is more of a humiliation, because that makes the old parents look like a clown and when you see those younger ones just can't stop making fun of your old parents, it feels bad. Sometimes, considering the age of those parents, these plays are really over the line and should be banished.
The other thing that impressed me at the same level is Tian Dengyou. This one is to my own liking. In my childhood, there is a specific day... a day I forgot what day it is. But in that day, we children will carry a lantern made from white radish to ask for oils from our neighbours. It 's a little similar to the plays in Halloween. Whereas, we ask no candy but just some oils for our little lantern. Those radish lanterns in the dark are really beautiful. You can hang out with your best friends in the night with those shining lanterns, chatting and laughing...
While, unfortunely, the one I love most has already gone with the wind, (because we do not need lanterns any more) but the one I hate most still here(cause man have to get married)...
It 's really confusing ...
