Hi, there Which of these sentences is right? “(As) thoughtful as she is, I am sure she raised her children as WELL as she could” or “(As) thoughtful as she is, I am sure she raised her children as BEST as she could”? Thank you!!

The top one sounds more correct. I think this is where you see the difference between correct English grammar and daily usage. People say it both ways or even “the best that she could”.

... she raised her children the best (that) she could. (How it is spoken)

Both are correct but it is more common to use best. Example - "just do the best you can" rather than "just do as well as you can" The choice of word depends on the speaker.
