Hi..Can someone explain to me the meaning of ''underdog''? I know it's about people who don't have power or money in society but does that word offensive? How do we use that in sentences? I also notice it's used in sports too like the losing team. Is it also an offensive term in sports?

Your questions were answered correctly, but nobody cared to correct your English mistake. You should have written "...but is that word offensive?" -or- "does that word offend people?"

An underdog is someone who would not be expected to do well. This can be for many different reasons. Some people are proud to be an underdog, while others hate it, and yet others don't care. I think it would depend on the situation for me.

Not only is it not offensive, underdogs usually are supported or favored by much of the public. It's human nature to cheer for someone who faces difficult obstacles and works to overcome them.

No, it’s not offensive.
In sports it’s the team that people think is most likely to lose.
In society, a person from a lower socioeconomic background is seen as the underdog.
