A FAMILY DRAMA ABOUT THE ROYALS.
I hardly ever watch series: I lack the time, patience and concentration to do it. But some months ago, I came across an episode of the award-winning The Crown, and I watched it till the end. The series is a historical drama and is set in the early 1950s.
It’s detailed plot, which shows interesting world events occurring from the 1950s to the 2000s connected to British history, is what I like the most. In fact, the series helped me to understand their culture and identity a bit more.
The thing I like the most is the depth of the characters. The cast's performance is impeccable, showing a lot of work and professionalism. Furthermore, the chronology is perfect, and there is enough room for comedy and satire on some occasions, bringing us some interesting and unknown real facts.
As far as I'm concerned, the one thing that I might be a tad less keen on is the restrained and tedious soundtrack, the excessively slow pace of it gets on my nerves.
The Crown is totally engaging, one of the best series of this decade, with its contrast between the identity of The Royals and the constant growth of a powerful country, where in the blink of an eye, one crisis follows another. But mind you, this is not a series for someone that is looking for fiction, The Crown’s story reveals the highlights and shadows of real lives.

Very good effort. I’ve made some corrections to make it easier to read.
