What are your criteria for a choosing a Teacher here on italki? What do you specifically look for when searching for one, apart from obvious "indicators" like Rating and Reviews? It seems a bit tough to make one’s mind ...
How has your experience been so far with your teacher/s?

I have taken 200 French, Spanish, and Persian language lessons on italki. My suggestions:
1 - Ignore the star rating. Almost everybody has five stars.
2 - Look for someone with a high ratio of lessons per student. A high ratio shows that the students were satisfied and paid for more lessons. Five lessons per student is average and ten is excellent.
3 - Look at the student reviews. It is a excellent sign if some students have taken 40 or 50 lessons.
4 - Look for someone who has training as a language teacher for nonnative speakers. For English, look for TEFL, TESL, or TESOL training. For French, look for FLE training. For Spanish, look for ELE training.
Good luck!

Hello Furqan,
May be I am not qualified to talk in this issue because I haven’t taken only two lessons. But as far as I am concerned, I choose them according to the reviews of students. Other criteria would be that the teacher must be a native speaker of the target language. You may laugh but yes I have seen some teachers who teach a language that is not their native language. My experience with teachers was nice with the English teacher but not good with the Spanish one.
