Are any of you students from Oman? Do you any of you have students from Oman? According to a potential student, Skype and Google Hangouts are blocked in Oman and Whatsapp is expensive.
What are some other video/voice call programs we could use? Thanks for any help with this problem.
I'm not from Oman but I want to give a hand on that.
Telegram is an app for Android/iOS like Whatsapp but the main difference is that Telegram is open source. So they don't charge you because it's free. It might be an alternative for that but once again someone from Oman can give more info about that.
I hope I have helped.
Cheeers and have a good one.
I've just searched for "Skype in Oman" and found many articles saying it's really blocked over there. Damn governments! :)
...I guess there aren't many students from Oman here?
Interesting topic, seems like it's a matter of VPNs (it's something on your student side).

Thanks, Tiago. I will look into the Telgram app. Does it have audio and video call capability?
