The education in Brazil is a caos. Public schools are often forgotten by the government and have a bad structure. Teachers are low-paid and what should be a priority to people's lifes, end up being left aside by the government. So, teachers may have good intentions of improving the system, but it's hard to do it without support. Private school have a good quality, but are too expensive, and with the current crisis, many people who could afford it before (not the majority of the people, unfortunately), can't afford it anymore.

A good friend of mine is originally from El Salvador, although he must have moved as a small child. He's very smart and well educated - can speak multiple languages - but told me just today that he couldn't teach anything for the education system there, because it would have been difficult for him to acquire qualifications due to somewhat recent changes. He'd really enjoy helping people get a leg up, although he doesn't want to deal with gangs or anything. I realize he's just one person, and maybe the other requirements were needed in the big picture, but it seemed a shame when I heard that.

Okay first of all I lived in Turkey my whole life and I am a victim of SBS. I wrote SBS for 3 years (grade 6, grade 7, grade 8) and I moved to South Africa 3 years ago that was the best decision of my life. I know it sounds absurd at first but don't judge before you do your research. University of Cape Town is in the first top 100 universities. You then have a look at the universities in Turkey there is not one university that is very known except  ODTU but that is not even in the top 100...

We can all understand that Turkish education sucks. Have you ever heard someone speak of it? "oh turkish students work so hard!!" eeee? noluyor? hicbir sey olmuyor da o yuzden bir yerlere hala gelemiyoruz. Developing country hala. Madem cok educated olduk why are we still developing? It's been years my friend... They just have to wake up and fix this. Otherwise we will never be successful as a country. 

I live in Cape Town and the education here is brilliant. I am in my last year of high school and I have a very happy life without extra bulls* work.

Arkadaslar Turkiye'de yasadigim sure zarfinda cok anlayamiyordum ama hayatimizin icine ediyormis gereksiz yere.  You just have to get out of that country as soon as possible. Such a waste. 

Well, I'm from Spain and my country's educación system is very bad. 

Laws of education change all the time and politics want to influence on it. They want to influence the children so they want to make a good law. Also, I think they don't want smart people. Dumb and manipulable people are more uselful for them. 

Moreover, students have a lot of stress and homework. Exams everytime. They don't feel motivated at all. I know that in other countries, most of the homework is done in class, why don't we do that here? I think there's a lot to change! 

A lot of people fail so it's a bad system. But politics don't want to improve it. They only care about their ideology.

I am surely not satisfied with current education in my country (Taiwan) so that I decided to send my children to take western education in another country if possible. There is no creatitvity, inspiration, essential training to deal with the future challenge that will happen in few decades. That is to say, I wish children can expend more time in learning promising ideas, notions or creavity instead of mouldy Chinese character writing or obslete moral code from confucius in ancient times.
