Idioms! In Moroccan Arabic تعبير اصطلاحي

! Salut

Today I was thinking about idioms and was hoping some Moroccan people could tell me some useful Moroccan idiomatic expressions. Aujourd'hui je reflechissais au sujet des expressions idiomatiques. Est-ce qu'il y a des Marocain(e)s qui puissent m'offrir quelques expressions utiles de ce genre en darija marocaine? Merci!

Below are some examples in English /french. If there is a Moroccan equivalent let me know please or suggest some different ones that don't exist in English/french.

j'ai écrit des exemples en-dessous. S'il y a un équivalent marocain je vous prie de me le dire, sinon s'il y a des expressions en darija qui se distingue complètement du français ou anglais qui vous trouvez importantes/intéressantes je serais reconnaissante de les savoir. Merci.

En:

The last straw: The last of a series of annoyances or disappointments leading to a final loss of patience, temper, trust, or hope. Ex: she was always rude to me, but when she started insulting my mother, that was the last straw!

Actions speak louder than words: your words are meaningless and useless unless you actually DO what you say and follow through with your words.

Beat around the bush: to talk indirectly and not get to the point or the main idea. Ex: "no need to beat around the bush! You don't like my idea, I see that, just say it already!"

Blessing in disguise: something good that is not recognized as good at first/may seem bad at first. Ex: "I had been working so hard, it turns out this sickness is a blessing in disguise because I can finally stay home and rest!"

See eye-to-eye: to share the same opinions, ideas, . ex: " Although we don't always see eye-to-eye, when faced with a problem my coworker and I know how to work together and solve it."

Don't judge a book by its cover: don't judge something/someone based on appearances. "Although Lydia usually seems tired and disinterested during class, when I met her I saw she is actually one of the most intelligent and dedicated students! Don't judge a book by it's cover!"

Fr:

Coûter les yeux de la tête : être très cher, coûter beaucoup d'argent. L'équivalent anglais: to cost an arm and a leg. Ex: aux états unis il coûte les yeux de la tête pour voyager en transport commun

Poser un lapin à qqun: faire faux bond . ex: on devait se retrouver devant le café mais il m'a posé un lapin et n'est jamais venu.

Se casser la tête : trop réfléchir, s'inquiéter, se donner beaucoup de mal/peine pour faire qqch. "La solution est simple. Tu te casses la tête pour rien"

chokran !
