Language habit Our teacher tells us that native speakers say, when they have something to show or share, "i have got a picture" instand of "i have a picture ", so is that ture?

¨I´ve got a picture¨ is a very common informal way we would say it. However, I would agree with Joey that without the contraction, it would not be common.

"I have a picture", is used much more often than, "I have got a picture".
So, no. Your teacher is incorrect.

If English speakers ever do say, "I have got a picture", it's almost always said as, "I've got a picture". We change the   "I have" into the contraction, "I've".

I am a native speaker and I say them both. They mean the same.
